Capturing Precious Moments

Dear Parents,

I’m a mom so I know all too well that time goes much too fast. You can’t believe that your baby is about to graduate high school. Where did the time go? And, my gosh what an amazing interesting person they are turning out to be! You just want to bottle this time up, press pause, and freeze this moment before they head into the next stage of life.

Creating Extraordinary Portraits

How do you capture your extra special senior at this pivotal time in their life? Maybe they are about to venture into the world on their own for the very first time. Maybe they are staying close for a while longer. Either way, high school is ending, they are on the cusp of becoming an adult and things are about to change. You want to reach out your arms and gather up everything this person is and everything they are becoming and hold it tight for a moment before they head out into the world on their own.

Crafting Narrative Portraits

What makes these senior portraits extraordinary? Your senior makes the portrait one of a kind because they are one of a kind. How do I create an artwork that is all those things? A narrative portrait tells the story of who they are at this moment in life. Their interests, hobbies, skills, what are they great at, and what lights them up. It captures their personality and what brings them joy.

Embracing Individuality

How do I visually tell their story? Well, I don’t. Not alone anyway. I’m not the creator of this work. Your senior is. It’s their story, their visual identity that we are capturing. I’m a guide, I’m here to ask questions, brainstorm, and say yes a lot. together we will turn the intangible into a tangible artwork and have a lot of fun doing it.

Dear Senior,

Imagine a portrait that is so much more than you walking in tall grass at sunset. Imagine a portrait that tells your unique story. A portrait that is different from everyone else's because you’re different from everyone else. Let’s tell the story of you. Let’s create legacy artwork that you can look at in 20 years and think wow, I was pretty fascinating back then, and look where those interests lead.
